Come this summer to learn with other peacebuilders – local and international, young and old, students, practitioners, and those new to peacebuilding – at the fourth annual Canadian School of Peacebuilding. We invite you to participate in your choice of five-day
courses for personal inspiration, professional development or for academic credit. This fourth annual Canadian School of Peacebuilding (CSOP), a program of Canadian Mennonite University (CMU), will be held in Winnipeg, MB, from June 18-22 and June 25-29, 2012.
You can apply online or by using a PDF registration form which you can fax, post or scan and e-mail back to us. Apply before April 1 to avoid a $50 late fee.
If you are interested in working proactively with conflict at home and in your community, within today's diverse contexts, consider taking Peace Skills Practice with Karen Ridd. Here is what CSOP alumnus, Josh Krueger, said about his experience in this class:
"I was expecting this class to be boring, but that's not what happened. It's hard to describe what happened during the week. The first two days were insightful and interesting but something happened by the third day. Maybe it was the fact that we had already spent about sixteen hours together, or that we were starting to share intimate details of past conflicts and future hopes or maybe it was that our instructor created the atmosphere of family - complete with sharing pictures and meditations on the grass - without ever needing to tell us it was a safe place. By Thursday I could not wait for my class to begin."
