Day 1
27 october 2011

Plenary Session*, during which welcoming speeches of the Conference Co-Organizers will be followed by reports of the Russian public officials and community leaders, politicians, representatives of legal, entrepreneurial and mediation communities of Russia, and foreign guests of the Conference.

Delegates will be able to hear speeches by the Vice President of the European Parliament
Ms. Diana Wallis, Great Britain, retired judge, President of GEMME (European Association of Judges for Mediation) Sir Gavin Anthony Lightman, UK, a mediating retired judge Ms. Louise Otis, Canada, a trainer of mediators, the head of MATA Mr. David Richbell, Great Britain, the founder of the leading Negotiation Institute of Beijing Mr. Andrew Lee, China, a family mediator Mr. Jay Folberg, JAMS, USA and others.

The program of Day 1 also includes a press-conference with participation of foreign guests.

Day 2

Symposium “Mediation in the professional activity of a modern judge”* with participation of representatives of the Russian judicial community and judges from other countries who have originated development of judicial mediation, as well as representatives of the legal, entrepreneurial and mediation communities.

Sir Gavin Anthony Lightman, UK, an effective judge and mediator Mr. Robert Levy, USA, the President of Gemme-France, co-founder of Gemme Ms. Beatrice Brenneur, a mediating retired judge Ms. Louise Otis, Canada, the former Vice President of the Netherlands Court of Appeals, a mediating judge and the head of the project on court-connected mediation, teacher of the National School of Judges Ms. Machteld Pel, an effective judge of the Court of Appeals, mediator, head of the Association of Mediators of Slovenia Ms. Gordana Ristin, a mediating judge, the founder and president of the International Association of Integrated Mediation Mr. Arthur Trossen, Germany, an effective commercial judge and mediator and Head of Croatian Mediation Association Mr. Srjdan Simac, Croatia, and others.
