Paul Randolph održao predavanje na Klubu izmiritelja

on 13 Rujan 2011.

Time je gospodin Randolph postao drugi počasni član.

Paul Randolph is an Accredited Mediator (CEDR June 1999 and SPC: May 2000), and a Barrister, called in 1971. He practises from the Field Court Chambers, London. He is Course Leader and Lecturer on a Mediation Course at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (SPCP), Regent’s College, London, which trains and accredits mediators. He is on the Board of the Civil Mediation Council and Chair of its Communications Committee; a member of the Bar Council ADR Committee, and former Chair of the National Mediation Helpline Provider’s Forum. He was External Examiner on Mediation for the Bar Vocational Course at Cardiff University Law School, and is now on the Professional Standards Committee of the College of Mediators.

As a litigator he specialised in Commercial and Contractual Litigation, Personal Injury and Professional Negligence, Property and Employment disputes.

Paul Randolph is one of the UK’s most experienced mediation trainers. As a mediator, he has mediated in well over 200 cases - in disputes involving commercial, contractual, and employment claims, as well as professional negligence, property, probate and inheritance disputes, and family financial conflicts. As a lecturer and author, his special area of expertise is in the psychology of conflict: conflict management and avoidance. He has lectured on Mediation, Conflict and Conflict Management at conferences in the UK, China, Russia, India, Denmark, Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Latvia and Estonia, to lawyers and business leaders, as well as to Central and Local Government institutions.

In 1998 he, together with Dr Freddie Strasser, an eminent psychotherapist, conceived and designed a Mediation Course: “Mediation Skills for Alternative Dispute Resolution”, at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent’s College, London. He created and wrote all the training materials, and since 1999 has been the Course Leader and Lecturer on the course, having now trained and accredited nearly 1000 mediators in the UK, in the Channel Islands, and Latvia. Paul adapted the course for in-house training, and has trained several HR departments, as well as officers and members in a London local authority.

The unique ‘psychotherapeutic’ model of mediation taught on his courses has achieved wide acclaim, and has also furnished him with an added insight into the psychology of conflict, enabling him to be particularly effective in disputes with a high emotional content.

His book Mediation - A Psychological Insight into Conflict Resolution (Continuum 2004), co-written with the late Dr Freddie Strasser, has a Foreword by the late Lord Slynn of Hadley, and was favourably reviewed in The Times by Sir Henry Brooke, former Vice President of the Court of Appeal, and current Chair of the Civil Mediation Council.
